Privacy Policy

GathMe LLC (“GathMe”, “we”) makes the GathMe iPhone app and this website. This policy says what we collect, why, and how to reach us. Questions and deletion requests go to privacy@gathme.com.

The website

If you request a TestFlight spot, we collect the email you enter, whether you have an iPhone, your confirmation that you are 18 or older, and any optional first name, school or neighborhood, interest, and note. We use that to invite you to TestFlight and to reply about the pre-release. We keep it until the invite is no longer needed, or until you ask us to delete it.

The form is delivered to our inbox through Cloudflare. You can also email hello@gathme.com instead of using the form. This site does not use advertising or third-party tracking.

The app

GathMe is in pre-release on TestFlight. When you use the app, we handle:

• An email address or a phone number, so we can send a one-time sign-in code. A school email shows you can read that mailbox. It does not prove your legal identity. Your email and phone number are not shown to other people.
• The first name you choose, an optional short intro, and an optional profile photo. A photo is reviewed before other people see it, and then only people in a plan with you, or in your circle, can see it.
• The plans you host or join, and the text chat for a plan you are in.
• Reports, blocks, and the notices we send about them.
• If you turn on distances, your location while the app is open, rounded, so we can say how far a place is. We do not store a history of where you went.

Apple provides TestFlight, the App Store, and notification delivery, and processes what those services need. The app’s servers run on Amazon Web Services. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

How long we keep it

You can delete your account in the app. Deletion removes your profile and signs you out. Backups and records we must keep for safety reports can remain for a limited time, then they go too. Plan messages are kept for a limited time after a plan ends. Website requests are deleted when you ask, or when we no longer need them to run the pre-release.

Age

GathMe is for adults 18 and older. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger, we close it and delete the associated personal information, apart from what a safety record requires us to keep.

Your requests

Email privacy@gathme.com to access, correct, or delete the information we have from the website, or to ask a question about the app. We may need to confirm you control the email or phone number on the account.
