Community guidelines

GathMe works when everyone treats a plan as a real plan. These are the rules for the pre-release and the app.

The rules

1. Be 18 or older, and use your own account.
2. Host plans you actually intend to attend. Describe the plan the way it is.
3. Meet at the public place the plan names.
4. Keep the group small.
5. Show up, or leave the plan before it starts.
6. Treat people with respect. Harassment, hate, threats, and sexual advances are out. GathMe is for platonic plans.
7. Keep scams, spam, and selling off the app.
8. A school-email check or a neighborhood approval is about that community. Do not pretend to belong to one you don’t.

If something is wrong

Report it in the app, and block the person if you don’t want to see them. They are not told who reported or who blocked. Urgent safety reports are reviewed first. You will get an update when a report has been reviewed.

We can warn someone, remove a plan, restrict an account, suspend it, or ban it. You can appeal in the app, or email support@gathme.com.
